Health Mentor is an application developed for Health Coaches, Personal Trainers, and Nutritionists to facilitate comprehensive lifestyle coaching covering the three fundamental aspects of health: Nutrition, Exercise, and Sleep.
Who Can Use Health Mentor?
- Health Mentor serves as a platform that connects coaches with their clients. Coaches are required to register first before inviting their clients to join.
Health Goals
- Coaches can monitor client goals related to weight, body fat percentage, waist, hip, and thigh measurements. Weight and body fat readings can be recorded using a compatible smart scale. Additionally, all measurements can be input manually.
Setting Behavior Targets
- Coaches have the ability to establish targets for daily caloric intake, macronutrients consumption, hours of sleep, steps taken, and calories burned.
Data Sync From Wearables, Connected Fitness Equipment and Apps
- Health Mentor syncs data from Google Fit and Apple Health, enabling the synchronization of data for the aforementioned behavior targets along with weight and body fat details from any device, wearable technology, app, or connected fitness equipment that is compatible with these services. For instance, in a scenario where a client owns a Peloton bike but requires dietary guidance, coaches can track the client's calorie expenditure on the equipment, monitor their diet via MyFitnessPal, and provide assistance with behavior modification lessons available in the library.
Coaching Dashboard
- The coaching dashboard offers a summary of weekly progress for all clients on a single screen. Coaches can filter the view to identify clients with high compliance rates for acknowledgment and those with lower compliance rates who may need extra support. When necessary, coaches can drill down further to view a comprehensive week-to-week history for each individual.
Private Messenger
- Facilitate client-coach communication via the integrated private messenger while maintaining professional boundaries. Both coaches and clients can share links and images through this platform. Coaches also have the option to send lessons from the integrated library directly through the messenger.
Coaching Library
- The coaching library is conveniently accessible via the messenger with a single tap and contains evidence-based lessons on nutrition, exercise, sleep, and behavior change topics. Each lesson has undergone review by an MD and PhD behavior change researcher. These lessons are derived from studies published in peer-reviewed journals but are presented in an engaging format reminiscent of popular social media platforms.
Assistance with Sleep Improvement
- Clients and coaches can track sleep patterns by manually recording hours slept or utilizing a sleep tracking device for automatic monitoring. The platform provides insights into significant research findings regarding the health benefits of quality sleep and suggests non-medicinal methods individuals can implement at home to enhance their sleep. Additionally, resources include access to assessments for sleep disorders screening and locating sleep specialists in proximity.
Create Custom Lessons from Various Online Sources
- An exceptional feature of the library is the capability for users to contribute content. Users can swiftly compose lessons by linking websites, YouTube videos, podcasts, write introductions for clients' perusal, and categorize them for future reference. Moreover, users have the option to upload images to create posts resembling those seen on Instagram. Utilizing a similar image format as Instagram ensures easy repurposing of existing content.
